Hardneck Garlic Seed

Hardneck garlics have complex flavors with large uniform cloves and easy sking removal.  They are generally grown in colder Northern climates with cool springs.  Hardnecks are distinguished by the "stiff" neck, or flower stalk, that grows from the center of the stalk.  The center stalk, known as a scape is often removed approximately 3-4 weeks prior to harvest, this allows more energy to be directed towards the bulb rather than producing a flower.  Garlic scapes can be used as a mild, less pungent garlic and are great for making pesto, grilling, steaming, sauteing, and using in soups, salads, and eggs.  Garlic Gods grow 6 varieties of hardneck garlics, however we are building seed stock on 2 varieties, which will only be sold as culinary garlic for 2020.
