A marbled purple stripe hardneck garlic with a hot, spicy, robust flavor. Described as "Great Bulbs of Fire" due to the large cloves / bulbs and hot bite.
Huge cloves that are easy to peel. Metechi garlic have exceedingly large bulbs, with 4-5 very large cloves per bulb. 1/2 pound order will be 2 bulbs and average 8-10 cloves for planting. 1 pound order will be 4-5 bulbs with 16 to 22 cloves for planting.

Hardneck garlics are the best option for Northern gardeners, as they tend to be cold hardy and can withstand extreme winter temperatures.
Suggested planting in USDA growing zones 3-8, not recommended in extreamly warm climates.
